Lavarock is Dex #53, a dual-type Fire and Rock Evomon and the evolved form of Lavite. It is a heavyweight defensive bruiser: its 502 total base stats pool almost entirely into Defense (105) and Attack (104), leaving it slow at 62 Speed. True to its name, it reads as cooled magma over stone, a body of hardened rock threaded with molten seams. Like every revealed creature so far it carries SSS rarity, community rank E, spawns under Any weather, caps at level 90, and it also has an EM slot for an extra move or equipment.

Field Notes ✎ Observed (cross-referenced)

Lavarock presents as a compact, dense specimen, the field impression being of a boulder that never fully cooled, its crevices still glowing where fire meets stone. As a Fire/Rock dual-type it inherits offensive pressure against seven elements: Fire, Grass, Electric, Ice, Poison, Bug, and Steel all take extra damage from it, a notably broad coverage list. Its defensive profile is lopsided in the classic Rock manner, resisting Fire, Ice, Flying, and Bug while remaining exposed to Water, Fighting, Ground, and Rock. That Ground and Rock vulnerability is worth flagging: the very terrain it appears built from also threatens it. Observed in the field, the design favors standing its ground over chasing, consistent with its low Speed and mineral bulk.

Base Stats & Battle Role ✎ Observed (cross-referenced)

Lavarock's base stats read 82 HP, 104 Attack, 105 Defense, 77 Special Attack, 72 Special Defense, and 62 Speed, totaling 502. The shape is unmistakably a physical wall-breaker: Defense (105) edges out Attack (104) as its single highest value, and the two together define the specimen. Special Attack (77) and Special Defense (72) sit in the middle, while Speed (62) is its clear weakness, so expect Lavarock to move last against most opponents. In practice that argues for a slow, hard-hitting role: soak a hit on its high Defense, then answer with heavy physical Attack. Its EM slot adds a further move or equipment option, useful for patching the mediocre Special Defense or the sluggish Speed. It will not outrace threats, so it wants to outlast and out-hit them instead.

Evolution & Where to Find ✎ Observed (cross-referenced)

Lavarock is not a wild catch. Its location is listed as "Via Evo," meaning the only way to add it to your Dex is to evolve its pre-evolution, Lavite. There is no spawn point where a Lavarock appears on its own, under Any weather or otherwise. The exact evolution trigger (level, stone, or condition) is not yet documented in our source, so plan to raise a Lavite and evolve it through normal progression rather than hunting Lavarock directly. Evolution across Evomon is generally driven by an Evolution Stone (and the rarer Omni-Stone), both obtainable from active codes, so keep those in reserve while you level. No further evolution stage is recorded for Lavarock; as far as the data shows, it is the final form of this line. Catching the base Lavite itself uses standard balls such as the Advanced Ball.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get Lavarock in Evomon?

You cannot catch Lavarock in the wild. Its location is "Via Evo," which means it is obtained only by evolving its pre-evolution, Lavite. Raise and evolve a Lavite through normal progression; the precise evolution trigger is not yet documented in our source, so no direct spawn exists.

Is Lavarock a physical or special attacker?

Physical, decisively. Lavarock's Attack sits at 104 and its Defense at 105, the two highest values in its 502 stat total, while Special Attack is only 77. Build it as a slow physical bruiser that tanks a hit on its high Defense and answers back with heavy physical damage.

What is Lavarock weak against?

As a Fire/Rock type, Lavarock takes extra damage from Water, Fighting, Ground, and Rock. Ground and Rock stand out because they mirror the terrain it appears made of. It does resist Fire, Ice, Flying, and Bug, so lead with a Water, Fighting, or Ground attacker to counter it.
