Every expedition log needs a chapter on transformation. In Evomon, evolution runs on items: element-specific Evolution Stones — Bug, Fire, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Rock, and Water are the ones documented so far — plus the rarer Omni-Stone. Some creatures in the 108-slot Dex can only be obtained this way, flagged "Via Evo" in their location field. This page records the stones we can verify, the chains they serve, the three full three-stage lines we can trace end to end, where stones are sourced (shops, chests, and redeem codes), and — just as honestly — the trigger details nobody has documented yet.

The documented evolution toolkit is element-keyed. Seven Element Stones are confirmed in circulation — Bug, Fire, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Rock, and Water — each serving creatures of its own element. Evomon runs a fifteen-element system, so the stones we can verify cover fewer than half the chart; whether the other eight elements have stones that haven't surfaced yet, or evolve by some other route, is not documented. We record the seven we can point to and leave the rest blank.

Alongside them sits the Omni-Stone, the rarer piece of the family. The name strongly suggests a universal item — one stone that works where an element-specific stone would — but we have not watched it substitute for a named stone or unlock a line that lacks one, so its exact coverage stays in the observed-but-unconfirmed column. What is solid: both categories are real items in the current game, and both are worth banking whenever a source offers them.

Which Stone Serves Which Chain ✎ Observed (cross-referenced)

The Bug Element Stone is the hardest-working stone in our ledger, with three separate documented lines: Humding into Flutterby into Twirlby, Chitmite into Chitgladi into Chitaladin, and the shorter Gempillar into Gempress. The Psychic Element Stone serves two — Starloop into Starmuse, and the full Wispuff, Wisphade, Wisphex run. The Rock Element Stone has one documented customer, Fluffet into Fluffastar.

The Fire, Grass, Ice, and Water Element Stones are recorded differently: the documentation lists them as serving their whole element — "Fire Types", "Water Types", and so on. In practice that blankets the three starter lines, since Bubble is Water, Blazpup is Fire, and Leafbun is Grass. The planner's read: a Bug stone may have three lines competing for it, while a Water stone answers to every Water evolution you're running.

Note the depth on display: Humding, Chitmite, and Wispuff all run a full three stages, and the Water starter matches them — Bubble into Bubboxer into Bubblade. A three-stage line means two distinct evolutions, and we cannot yet confirm whether each step consumes its own stone or one item carries the whole run. Until someone logs that second step directly, the cautious budget is one stone per evolution — two for a full chain — with any leftover a bonus.

Reading a "Via Evo" Location ✎ Observed (cross-referenced)

The Dex's location field is a code worth learning to read. Most revealed creatures list a real zone — Verdant Valley, Petal Pond, Lava Crag, Shiver Snows, and the rest of the twenty-zone map — and those you can go and catch directly. But when the field reads "Via Evo", "From Evo", or simply "Evolution", the creature does not spawn anywhere. The only way it enters your collection is by catching its pre-evolution and evolving it.

Two other readings round out the system. "Battle Pass" means the creature comes from the battle pass rather than the wild or evolution. "Stay Tune" or "Unknown" means the catch location simply hasn't been documented yet — not that the creature is unobtainable, just that nobody has pinned it down. For a Via Evo target, then, your real hunt is for the base form: find its zone, catch it, and secure the right stone before you need it.

Stones reach players through three documented channels: in-game shops, chests, and redeem codes. The codes route is the most concrete thing we can point at — thirteen codes are active as of this writing, redeemed through the gear icon in the Settings menu, and they are case-sensitive, so type them exactly as listed. Our codes page tracks which are currently live. Element stones sit in the same item economy as catch balls, EXP Fruits, and reroll potions; the items database holds the full inventory list.

Shops and chests are documented as sources, but the details thin out fast: we have no verified shop prices, no restock timers, and no chest drop rates for any specific stone. We flag that plainly rather than invent numbers. The working advice that survives the gaps: redeem every active code before it expires, open chests as you travel the zones anyway, and check shop stock when passing through — but treat codes as your one reliably free supply line.

The Honest Gaps: Triggers and Levels ✎ Unconfirmed

Here is the chapter we cannot yet write: triggers. We can name which stone serves which chain, but no source we trust documents the exact conditions for a single evolution — whether a stone alone does the work, whether the creature must also reach a level threshold, or whether the two interact. Every revealed creature shares a maximum level of 90, so evolution is clearly not gated on the cap itself, and beyond that we decline to guess.

The roster is also still unfolding. The Dex is numbered to 108 and only 76 creatures are revealed with full entries, so chains we record as two stages may yet grow a third, and elements without a documented stone may gain one — the game is weeks old and patching frequently. When a trigger is confirmed, it lands on the individual Dex entry first and gets summarized back here; an unconfirmed note on a creature's page is current status, not an oversight.
